IP-owning companies perform better
According to a new report, businesses that own IP rights generate more revenue per employee, have more employees and pay higher salaries than those that do not. The study is presented by the Observatory on Infringements of IP rights.
The study found that IP owners had an average revenue per employee of 290,000 euro per employee compared to 226,000 euro for non-IP owners, a difference of 29 %.
The report also shows that 40 % of larger firms have registered IP rights compared to only 9 % of small and medium-sized enterprises.
The study is based on data from more than 2.3 million companies and analysis of a sample of more than 130,000 firms. Download the full report here.
