Fredrik Rahm
Fredrik is a Senior Associate in the chemistry and life science team. He has had various roles in the life science industry since 2005, mainly within the preclinical drug discovery space. Fredrik specialises in the fields of chemistry, pharmaceuticals and biotechnology.
Fredrik works closely with clients to ensure that they get the most out of their innovations and intellectual property. This includes strategic counselling on all matters related to IP, such as defining IP strategies, creating and managing IP rights, and connecting IP to the business plan.

Fredrik has considerable experience in IP strategy, IP creation, and IP management, and his focus includes patentability assessments, Freedom to Operate (FTO) and competitor landscape analyses, patent filing strategies, patent drafting and prosecution, and strategic portfolio management.
Fredrik has an MSc in Chemical Engineering and a PhD in Organic Chemistry from KTH. He has a particularly deep understanding of synthetic organic chemistry, small molecule drug design, and applications thereof in drug discovery and development. From his time as a researcher and a project leader in the pharmaceutical industry, Fredrik has also acquired a deep understanding of biophysics, biochemistry, structural biology, pharmacology, and disease biology.
