Extended profile
Carl Johan worked on joint projects with Sandvik and Erasteel on additive manufacturing of stainless steels, tool steels and superalloys as part of his Ph.D. This work included tuning the AM process, advanced microstructural analysis as well as mechanical evaluation.
He also worked part-time as a Research Engineer while pursuing his degree, allowing him to get involved in the areas of additive manufacturing relating to the fields of life science.
Car Johan was involved in AM@Å and the AM4Life Competence Centre at Uppsala University, where he helped companies and researchers to realise their goals using additive manufacturing techniques.
As a Ph.D. student, he attended several international science conferences and submitted oral contributions.
